Launched on 9th February 2003 as the replacement for BBC Choice, BBC Three is the corporations 'youth' channel. The first set of idents featured a series of animated 'blobs' acting out senes based on archive recordings.
IDENT - UNDERWATER
Staring a fish.
IDENT - ENORMOUS
Blob 1: "Good Lord it's Enormous!" Blob 2: "It is huge isn't it?" Blob 1: "Oh isn't it beautiful?"
IDENT - NO, BUT, YEAH, BUT...
No but. Yeah but. No because what happened was right, this thing happened what you don't even know nothin' about. Shut up! I wasn't even supposed to be anywhere even near there. But then Meredith came over and started stirring it all up and started calling me all these things about, like about this thing that you don't even know about, or something or nothing."
IDENT - OBVIOUS
Blob 1: "May I ask, what, you thing you're doing?" Blob 2: "I should have thought that was obvious."
IDENT - I CAN'T SAY THAT I HAVE
"Err, well, no. I really can't say that I have. Because erm. I mean no I I ha... Well I really haven't. No."
IDENT - IT VARIES
"Well you can't vair, well it varie..it varies. I mean it might be... 3 times a week, might be 4, it might be 1. Might be none."
IDENT - A MAN TREATING YOU
"Well it makes you feel good don't it? A man treating ya."
IDENT - WANNA GO MAD
