Channel M is Manchesters restricted service licence (RSL) television station, launched on 14th February 2000 and broadcasts to a potential audience of aproximately 600,000 on channel 39 (615MHz).
The Channel is funded jointly by The Guardian Media Group (60% shareholders), City Broadcasting (20% shareholders) and Salford University (20% shareholders).
Is target audience is the "Affluent and Dynamic 18-34's lifestyle and lifestage culture of Manchester in addition to its secondary35-54 market"*.
